Work accidents
A work accident in Israel often has two tracks: a National Insurance (Bituach Leumi) claim and, where a third party is at fault, a tort claim. The office handles both, nationwide.
National Insurance and the civil claim
Recognition as a work accident, temporary disability, a medical board, and a disability pension are the National Insurance track. A separate claim may lie against an employer, a contractor, or another third party if negligence caused the injury. The two tracks affect each other; they should not be run as if they were strangers.
Occupational disease
Some injuries are not a single event but a disease attributed to the work. Those files need medical and occupational evidence. The Hebrew site also has pages on occupational diseases.
Average-wage figures used in Israeli benefits are collected on the wage page (Hebrew, verified CBS data only).
